Our Goals:
"We have been tasked by the Boys & Girls Club of America with becoming “local changemakers” of our community. The goal of this program is to put youth in charge of an impactful project that sparks passion and positive change. Over the past few months, our group has come up with many ideas to support our community, and we found that our common theme was mental health— a topic that is a difficult conversation for many.
After brainstorming multiple project ideas, we decided to build Buddy Benches around our community. These are benches that will be built and painted locally, each bench representing a reminder to be a buddy."
Family Dollar Unboxing & Shopping Trip:
#HappyMail has arrived!! The Boys & Girls Club of Bangor was selected to receive a $25,000 grant that will enable us to #DoMore in our community. This opportunity is made possible by Family Dollar and Boys & Girls Clubs of America. We can’t wait to #ThinkLearnCreateChange. Keep following along our journey to becoming the next generation of leaders! #FDTLC2024
