LEADERSHIP & STAFF

We take great pride in helping to shape the future generation of Bangor. Our team is comprised of dedicated community members who bring years of childcare, education, and youth development experience to the table as well as young adults, including high school and college students, who bring compassion, energy, and enthusiasm to their work as Youth Development Professionals.
Catherine Myatt, Executive Director

Cat joined Bangor Housing in 2012 as the Director of Community Outreach, working to create and implement programs that would enhance the experiences and opportunities of families in the public housing community. In 2014, she opened the Boys & Girls Club of Bangor, a positive place for kids that has quickly become a second home, an extended family, and a life-changer for many. The club offers hope and opportunity to children and families who have had unequal access to enriching experiences outside of school, some who felt stuck or left out and didn't know where to turn. After an extensive background in youth development, Cat envisions the Club as a place where youth will find support, overcome barriers, and reach their fullest potential.
Heather Fidler, Director of Operations & Impact

Heather was excited to expand her career path to include the Boys & Girls Club of Bangor in early 2021. She brings many strengths to our club with her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, years of teaching experience and strong background working with youth. She continues to use her expertise in academic strategies to make a positive impact in the outcomes of the youth at the Club. In her free time, Heather loves all things family and child centered.
Julia Guerrette, Teen Program Director

Julia started working at the Boys & Girls Club in 2019 as a Youth Development Professional. She graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology from Husson University in 2021 and we are so thankful she returned to the Club as our Teen Program Director in 2022. Teens and tweens are her passion and she brings such positivity and enthusiasm to her work. Julia looks forward to seeing the teen center grow and create life-enhancing programs that prepare youth for success in high school and beyond.
Grace Hamel, Youth Program Director

Grace is currently working on her Bachelor’s degree in elementary education. Her passion is with planning high interest and educational activities for the afterschool youth to continue their school day learning in the safest, most inviting atmosphere in their district. As our Youth Program Director, she works hard to ensure the program is a place where all members feel welcome and included.
Bobbie Smith, Office Manager

Bobbie started with the Boys & Girls Club as a volunteer in 2016 and is now our incredibly valuable Office Manager. She brings many strengths with her, including transportation guru, administrative assistant, and a strong desire to see the Club succeed. Bobbie most enjoys working with the Littles because they remind her of when her kids were that age. In her free time, Bobbie enjoys her kitties and spending time with family and friends.
