Smarter Summer Camp!

May 1, 2017

Summer is HERE!

Smarter Summer Camp is a full-day program, for youth entering grades 1-5, is designed to prevent summer learning loss and help youth achieve school success. In addition to keeping youth learning and reading all summer long, Smarter Summer Camp will provide a wide variety of enriching activities including arts and crafts, computer games, cooking, gardening, and weekly field trips ensuring that youth have the best summer ever!

New this summer, we will offer two 5-week sessions which will give children the full academic, social, and recreational benefits of our summer camp. Campers are invited to attend one or both sessions but must attend a minimum of four days a week for the full five weeks per session.  We are also pleased to add breakfast to our program offerings so children will be able to enjoy two nutritious meals five days per week during camp hours!

Hours: 9:00am-3:00pm

Location: Bangor Housing Community Center and the Boys & Girls Clubhouse

Cost: FREE! Breakfast and lunch will be included every Monday-Friday

Transportation: We will provide transportation to and from the program

Field Trips: Every Wednesday we will travel to a fun destination such as Peaks-Kenny State Park, Fort Knox, and Echo Lake
